Back home

This past weekend, we took a trip south. Well, south being a relative term. We headed south, but stopped after a few hours in Reading PA. We traveled down on Friday, and on Saturday, we went to Longwood Gardens. It was very pretty, and I learned a lot. During lunch, we went to Delaware, a few miles south of the gardens. After Longwood, we went back to Reading, and on Sunday, helped my sister move into collage. After that, we traveled north to Syracuse, and went to the state fair. Then we travelled back home. And in all that, despite being threatening for most of the weekend, it didn't rain too much.

Not a bad trip after all.

Summer Reading, for school

This year's summer reading that I had to do for school was a little different. Instead of giving you a list and saying to read 3 of these books, you had to read 3 set books. And the books are as follows:

Stargirl
The Bar Code Tattoo
Ashes of Roses

The main character in all three are girls, and they're not my style of book. Normally, I've no problem with reading, but when it's about girls, I'm a little lax. And the lax part explains why I still haven't read all three. Oh well, I might get to it.

Okay, so I will, but it won't be pretty.

lack of urge

I've been a bit lax on the posting this summer. I want to apologize for that. I know that things should just pop into my head, but they don't. So, here you go: Word Sense Chapter 1-2 . Here's my creativity.

Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group is coming to Rochester! October 4th at the Blue Cross Arena. I think they are the coolest band around, and I'm not saying that due to the fact they have their heads shaved (or blue). Their music is cool due to the way they make it. They make it out of everyday things that no one would think of as a musical instrument. They even use cereal! And their music is nice too. But that could just be me.

Summer reading, arrrr, matey

Well, now that's it's cooled down some, I can post again.

The library this year held summer reading as usual. The theme was 'books: a treasure'. It was a piratey thing. For the teens, you had to read 100 pages or 160 minutes. I did pages mostly, except for the week I listened to talking books, so I used minutes instead. Once you had finished your reading for the week, you took in a sheet that you had to fill out, and you got a prize. They were small stuff, pirate stress balls, pencil sharpeners, other stuff.

As much as I love reading normally, I love getting rewarded for something I do normally anyway! Kinda like the way I want to get rewarded for emptying the dishwasher, making juice, vacuuming, etc.

HOT!!

First off, sorry about the infrequent posting
Second off, it's hot.
Third off, it's hot.
Fourth off, it's hot.

Am I sounding repetitive yet? It's supposed to get up to 95 today, and 95 tomorrow. Already today, it's 93. I've now stopped the sun from shining in our living room by closing the shades, and I've closed most of the windows. And then there's the fan on me. So, it's not bad, but it's not like winter either.
